Raje orders immediate arrest of gangster Anandpal, accomplices

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje today directed the city police officials to nab gangster Anandpal Singh, who fled from judicial custody in September, and his accomplices at the earliest.

The decision was announced at a high level review meeting held by the minister on her visit here, an official spokesman said.

Additional Director General of Police-Special Operation Group Alok Tripathi, ADG-Law and Order N R K Reddy, IG Ajmer Range Mrs Malini Agarwal and SP-Nagaur Gaurav Srivastav apprised the Chief Minister about their efforts of searching and arresting Anandpal, he said.

Anandpal had escaped police custody on September 3, 2015 while being taken back to Ajmer Central Jail following a court hearing at Deedwana in Nagaur district.
 

The gangster's accomplice driving in an SUV had closed in on the police vehicle and fired shots from sophisticated weapons like AK47, injuring 3 policemen.
