The state level function of Independence day in Rajasthan will be celebrated in Udaipur where chief minister Vasundhara Raje will hoist the Tricolour.
Previously such functions were held in the state capital Jaipur.
There will be a melange of events on August 14 and 15 at different locations, Udaipur District Collector Ashutosh A T Pednekar said today.

Pednekar said that flower petals will also be showered by helicopters on the venue.
"Boat racing, kayaking in Fatehsagar lake, polo match at a college ground, laser show at Fatehsagar paal (walkway) and attractive fireworks at five selected venues in the city will also take place on the August 15," he said.
On the eve of the Independence day on August 14, there will be a demonstration of trained camel by BSF at the college ground and other programmes also to celebrate the Independence Day.
Pednekar said that a full dress rehearsal was conducted yesterday at the main programme venue.
Additional DG Rajiv Dasot, IG Govind Narayan, Collector Ashutosh A T Pendnekar, SP Ajaypal Lamba and other officers reviewed the preparations of the state level function in Udaipur and gave necessary directions to officials to ensure success of the programme.
Security arrangements were also reviewed, he said.
Ministers, MoS and district collectors will also hoist the flag at the division and district level functions in the state on August 15, he added.
