Rajiv Gauba, a 1982 batch IAS officer, was today appointed as the new chief secretary of Jharkhand.
Gauba replaces Sajjal Chakraborty, who has been shifted to the Civil Aviation department as additional Chief Secretary, an official release said here.
Chakraborty was made chief secretary by the previous Hemant Soren government.
Gauba, who had served in the Information Technology department in the union government, has services till August 31, 2019.
