Arunachal Pradesh Governor Jyoti Prashad Rajkhowa today exhorted the representatives of Parashuram Dham Seva Ashram to be part of 'Team Arunachal' in promoting tourism based on religious importance.
Interacting with the representatives at Raj Bhawan here, he advised them to avail benefits from important tourism related schemes of the Centre, including PRASAD-Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive, a Raj Bhawan communique said.
It may be mentioned that lakhs of pilgrims come to Parashuram Kund, a famous pilgrimage at Wakro in Lohit district every year during Makar Sankranti.
Earlier, the team led by Kirti Prasad Chaliha and Soto Thali, submitted a ten-point memorandum to improve the religious centre, including registration of the society, land allotment, road communication, power supply and railway connectivity, the communique added.
