Counting of votes for bypoll of Rajkot (West) assembly seat, in which BJP and Congress were main contenders, will be held tomorrow.
Fourty nine per cent voting had been recorded for the bypoll that took place last Wednesday along with the polling for Maharashtra and Haryana assembly elections.
The seat which was once represented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, fell vacant following the resignation of sitting MLA Vaju Vala, after he was appointed Governor of Karnataka. The constituency was retained by BJP since 1990.
BJP's Vijay Rupani and Congress' Jayanti Kalaria were the two main contenders for the post.
