Congress MP from Rajkot Kunvarji Bavaliya today said that the city would soon have direct Air India flight connecting it with the national capital.
"There was a long pending demand...UPA government has sanctioned it," Bavaliya said at a function here where union minister Dinsha Patel flagged off weekly train from Rajkot to Sarai Rohilla (Delhi).
The Rajkot-Delhi air service would start from the first week of March, Bavaliya said.
