Rajnath discusses issues related to development of Chandigarh

Home Minister Rajnath Singh today reviewed various issues related to the development of Union Territory Chandigarh and directed officials to expedite works in all pending issues.

At a meeting of the advisory committee for UT Chandigarh, the home minister directed officials to expedite the issues pending with his ministry and also follow up the issues pending with other ministries.

He also advised the Chandigarh administration to look into the issues which are of priority nature, an official statement said.

As many as 46 agenda items relating to different fields of development of Chandigarh were discussed at the meeting, also attended by Punjab Governor and administrator of Chandigarh V P Singh Badnore and Chandigarh MP Kirron Kher.
 

The issues discussed at the meeting include land, building bylaws, traffic, parking and service matters, the status of grant of subsistence allowance to home guards of Chandigarh and extension of Court fee (Punjab Amendment Act, 2016), the statement said.

The members also stressed upon increasing the revenue share of the municipal corporation and to resolve the problem of solid waste management in Chandigarh.
