Home Minister Rajnath Singh today released a commemorative stamp to mark 50 years of raising of country's largest border guarding force BSF.
At an event held here, the Minister also honoured the families of the martyrs of the Border Security Force.
The Rs 5 stamp released today depicts BSF's camel patrol in the hot deserts of Thar in Rajasthan who are deployed there as part of their duty to guard the International Border between India and Pakistan.

Singh also released a coffee table book and a rich compilation of the martyrs of the paramilitary who have laid down their lives in various duty theatres of the country.
The about 2.5 lakh personnel strong force was raised in 1965 and apart from securing the Indo-Pak border it is also entrusted with securing the Indo-Bangladesh border.
