Rajnath to attend three-day peace summit in Rajasthan's Sirohi

Several noted environmentalists, scientists and spiritual leaders would be attending the three-day summit on science, spirituality and environment being held in Rajasthan's Sirohi district beginning Saturday.

Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh would be attending the summit as chief guests. Among other noted expected attendees are American actress Marla Maples, Union Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Thawar Chand Gehlot.

During the programme, Rajyoga meditation sessions will be held, along with plenary session on transforming the nuclear world through clear consciousness.

Further, the role of science in creating peace and harmony, spirituality in sustaining ecological balance, and how women and youths are agents of change would be discussed.

 

The sessions will be organised by Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya at Brahma Kumaris Shanti Van on Abu Road.

"One of the main purposes of the summit is to find solutions to environmental challenges through spirituality. Scientists, environmentalists and spiritual leaders would be contemplating innovative ideas to live in complete harmony with nature," a release said.

Sessions will be addressed by Rajyogini Dadi Janki, American journalist Rolonda Watts, environmentalists Vandana Shiva and Kartikeya Sarabhai and other experts and leaders.

Culture performances by film actress Gracy Singh, Sushma Seth, Shweta Pandit, Shraddha Pandit, Indian Idol finalist Harish Moyal and Grammy Award winner and music composer Ricky Kej among other international artists would be held as part of the summit.
