Home Minister Rajnath Singh will undertake a two-day visit to Manipur and Tripura beginning tomorrow during which he will take stock of the situation along the borders with Myanmar and Bangladesh and in the two Northeastern states.
Accompanied by Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, Singh will visit the Moreh border crossing point, which has emerged as a key trade centre between India and Myanmar, and also review the law and order situation in Manipur.
The Home Minister will visit Tripura on Saturday during which he will interact with refugees of the Bru community about their repatriation to Mizoram, official sources said.
Singh will also tour some of the border areas along the Chittagong Hill Tracts and meet jawans of the Assam Rifles who protect the international border.
