Rajouri Day celebrated

Army today paid homage to the martyrs who had laid down their lives while fighting with Pakistani troops in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district.

Wreaths were laid at Gujjar Chowk War Memorial, a defence spokesperson said.

Officiating GoC Brig J K Tiwari in his address highlighted the importance of the day and exhorted all for a similar display of patriotism towards the nation.

Rajouri Day is celebrated every year to pay homage to the soldiers who laid down their lives on April 12, 1948 to free the border town from Pakistani troops.
