But Rajput and Narang made a remarkable recovery in the standing position to bag the silver and bronze respectively.
Narang had won gold in both the singles and pairs events of 50m rifle 3 position in both the 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games.
With the two medals today, India have bagged 16 from shooting ranges -- four gold, nine silver and three bronze. England won 15 medals (5, 2, 8) while Australia got eight (6, 0, 2).
For the record, Gagan returned with just one silver and a bronze from this CWG. He also failed to equal Michael Gault (England) and Jaspal Rana's feat of nine gold in shooting in CWG.
