Samajwadi Party's Lok Sabha candidate and stand-up comedian Raju Srivastav today said he was forced to take the route to Mumbai after he could not find a job in the city due to lock-outs in all industrial units.

He said if elected, he will make efforts towards generating employment opportunities for the youths of Kanpur.

On the murder of a DSP in Pratapgarh district, in which name of former minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh 'Raja Bhaiya' has cropped up, Raju said the law will take its own course.

Raju, who arrived here this morning, were welcomed by party supporters and general public who had thronged to get a glimpse of the comedian.

On February 13, the actor was declared as Samajwadi Party's candidate from Kanpur seat for the next year's Lok Sabha elections.
