Rajya Sabha biennial elections for filling six vacancies from Tamil Nadu will be held on June 11, the Election Commission said today.
As per the official release from Chief Electoral Officer Rajesh Lakhoni, the notification would be issued on May 24 and the last date for filing nominations is May 31.
Scrutiny of nominations would take place on June 1, and the last date for withdrawal is June 3.

Polling would be held on June 11, if necessary, and the counting would be held in the evening of the same day.
Tamil Nadu Assembly Secretary and Deputy Secretary would be the Returning and Assistant Returning Officer respectively, for the biennial elections from the state, the release said.
The term of AIADMK MPs A W Rabi Bernard,Paul Manoj Pandian and A Navaneethakrishnan,DMK's K P Ramalingam and S Thangavelu and Congress member E M Sudarsana Natchiappan ends on June 29.
