Rallies and public meetings by trade unions marked May Day celebrations across Kerala today.
Workers in hundreds drawn from different sectors took part in marches recalling the historic labour action on the streets of Chicago 117 years ago.
A vehicle rally under the banner of Leftist motor workers' unions marked the beginning of the day-long celebrations in the state capital.
May Day processions were also held in Kochi, Kozhikode and other major centres.
