PMK youth-wing leader Anbumani Ramadoss today sought a probe to ascertain the authenticity of a video released by the AIADMK's rival T T V Dhinakaran faction, purportedly showing late Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa in a Chennai hospital.
The video was released a day ahead of the RK Nagar by- poll in Chennai.
Ramadoss raised doubts over the timing of the release of the video.

"We don't know the authenticity of the video, whether it was of the hospital or her (Jayalalithaa) stay in her home. Why was it released a day before the poll... Inquiry should be done... They (TTV Dhinakaran faction) should be booked," the Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) leader said.
Ramadoss also questioned why the Dhinakaran faction did not provide the video to the panel formed by the Tamil Nadu government probing the circumstances leading to the death of Jayalalithaa on December 5 last year after 75 days in the Apollo Hospital.
The one-man justice A Arumughaswamy commission is also looking into the medical treatment provided to Jayalalithaa.
The 20-second footage, aired by TV channels, showed the AIADMK supremo in a nightdress, looking frail and sipping what appeared to be a health drink with the help of a straw.
The ruling AIADMK said it was a "conspiracy" and a "demeaning" act with an eye on tomorrow's RK Nagar bypoll.
Jayalalithaa represented the RK Nagar constituency.
