Maharashtra Governor Ch Vidyasagar Rao expressed his condolences on the demise of well known film producer and recipient of the prestigious Dadasaheb Phalke Award D Ramanaidu in Hyderabad today.
"Ramanaidu was one of the finest film producers whose contribution to Indian cinema was vast, varied and outstanding. He gave us some of the most popular films both in Hindi and in Telugu. Ramanaidu was a gem of a person, soft-spoken and gentle to the core," the Governor said in his message.
"I had the good fortune of knowing him for several years. Ramanaidu had served as a Member of Parliament when I was a minister at the Centre.
"In his demise, the nation has lost a successful film producer and a great human being. I have lost a good friend. May his soul rest in eternal peace," he said.
