: The famous Sri Ramanathaswamy temple here would be brought under tight police security cover from January 15 when 'Yagasala poojas' for its consecration would begin, Superintendent of police N Manivannan said.
He told reporters her that the consecration would be held on Jan 20. The SP Inspected various parts of the temple to give suggestions on deployment of police personnel and installation of CCTV cameras.
He said all vehicles entering the district would be subjected to checks from Jan 1.
A total of 1,000 police personnel would be deployed in the island for the ceremony. Crime branch police would patrol the area around the temple round the clock, he said.
