Ramco Systems bags order from Hutchinson Aerospace

City-based software provider Ramco Systems today said it has bagged an order from North America-based Hutchinson Aerospace and Industry Inc to implement its maintenance, repair and over haul (MRO) solutions and services.

Hutchinson would use the end-to-end solution of Ramco Aviation Software, including engineering programmes, materials, maintenance, quality, MRO sales and mobility, Ramco Systems said in a statement here.

"This win further reaffirms our successful expansion in the North American market. With significant clients like Hutchinson Aerospace, we are on track towards becoming the go-to enterprise software provider supporting the Aerospace industry", Ramco Systems, CEO, Virender Aggarwal said.

Emami ropes in Shruti Haasan for Navratna Cool Talc * Homegrown FMCG major Emami has roped in Bollywood actress and singer Shruti Haasan for its Navratna Cool Talc brand.

Haasan would be the first female celebrity to come on board for Emami's Navratna brand, which is currently endorsed by Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Jr NTR, the Kolkata-based firm said in a statement.

She would endorse a new variant of Navratna Cool talc, Orangy Blast, while Shah Rukh Khan would continue to be the brand endorser for Navratna Cool Talc, it added.

Roadmap of achieving 20 pc wind energy grid penetration * Coimbatore: A two-day International Wind Conference and Exhibition here in June will discuss and prepare a roadmap on increasing wind energy generation in the country.

The conference, beginning from June 22, will bring together all stakeholders and aims to create a platform to discuss issues that this sector has to grapple with and to agree on the action that needs to be initiated, K Kasthurirangaian, Chairman, Indian Wind Power Association, the organisers, told reporters here today.

The deliberations would lead to an actionable agenda and serve as a starting point for various initiatives to be undertaken to achieve the targets, he said.

The conference will discuss ways to have 20 per cent grid penetration of wind energy by 2020, to be in line with the 60 Giga Watt target set by the ministry of New and Renewable Energy by 2022.
