IT software company Ramco Systems has bagged a "multi-million dollar technology transformation deal" from Australia-based Cobham Aviation Services to implement its aircraft aviation suite.

Cobham Aviation Services would implement the Ramco Aviation suite to benefit from best practice business processes for engineering, logistics and airworthiness management, Ramco Systems said without disclosing the value of the deal.

"Ramco's Aviation suite would replace legacy systems to deliver integrated and unified view of engineering operations to Cobham Aviation Services," Ramco Systems said.

Ramco Systems CEO Virender Aggarwal said the Chennai-based company is glad to have emerged successful in this multi-vendor evaluation.

"Our ability to offer the modern web-based system with in-built mobility and a plethora of business improvement driven innovations helped seal the deal," he said.

With the addition of Cobham Aviation Services, the total number of aircraft systems served by Ramco would be over 3,000, the statement said.

"We have selected Ramco's Aviation suite package to capitalise on best practice engineering management approaches as we transform our engineering organisation," Cobham Aviation Services, General Manager (Engineering), Peter Brown said.

Ramco Aviation Suite caters to airlines, rotary wing operators, air cargo and third party Maintenance, Repair and Operations (MRO) companies.
