Rameshwar Dudi nominated Leader of Opposition in Raj Assembly

Rajasthan Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leader Rameshwar Dudi was today nominated as Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly.

Dudi's nomination to the post was announced by Assembly Speaker Kailash Meghwal.

As Dudi occupied the seat he was given a warm welcome by members, who thumped their tables.

The House made an obituary reference on fifteen prominent leaders, legislators, and noted writers including Nobel prize awardee Dr Nelson Mandela, Ariel Sharon, Israel's former prime minister, Vijaydan Detha, noted Rajasthani Folk writer, Narayan Singh Bhati, Padamshree awardee and IPS.

Former MLAs Devialal Bairwa, Ugamraj Mehta, Nandlal Vyas, Bahadur Singh, Amarchand, Mrs Sudha, Shankar Singh, Narayan Lal, and former Congress Minister Harjiram Burdak were also remembered in Speaker's obituary reference.
 

The House observed two minutes silence in memoriam and all members paid tributes to the departed souls, after which the House was adjourned for the day.
