Olympian and former Davis Cupper Vishnu Vardhan will meet the talented top seed Ramkumar Ramnathan in the title round of the the Sobha ITF Mysuru Open after winning their respective semi-finals.
In the first semi-final, Vardhan was declared winner after his second seeded opponent Karunoday Singh pulled out in the second set due to twisted ankle. Vishnu won the first set 7-6 (7-2) 1-0 courtesy tie-breaker.
The second semi-final saw former Davis Cupper VM Ranjeet giving young Ramkumar, a run for his money initially before he also pulled out due to injury. The match went in Ramkumar's favour with scoreline reading 4-6, 6-4, 4-2.
In the men's doubles event, Mohit Mayur Jayapakash partnering Kaza Vinayak Sharma had little trouble in beating unseeded pair of Bhavesh Gour and Siddharth Rawat winning in straight sets at 6-4, 6-2.
