Seven-time Raid de Himalaya champion Suresh Rana grabbed the pole position in four wheeler extreme category at the end of the second leg of the event here today.
After a hiccup at the first leg, Rana dished out an impressive show of rally driving by overtaking Amanpreet Ahluwalia who surprised everyone by taking the lead at the end of the first leg.
Rana finished the leg with a timing of 3 hours 13 minutes 43 seconds, exactly four minutes faster than Amanpreet who clocked 3 hours 17 minutes 43 seconds.

The second leg of the rally is considered as one of the most gruelling as it traversed through some of the most rocky and topsy-turvy hilly roads. This leg also witnessed the breakdown of three cars in the adventure category.
