It was an evening dedicated to men, with actor Ranbir Kapoor proving to be the perfect showstopper for ace designer Manish Malhotra, who debuted his maiden menswear line at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2015 in a glittering ceremony attended by Bollywood celebrities.
Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Urmila Matondkar, Nita Ambani, Sooraj Pancholi, Zarina Wahab, Ayushman Khuranna and many others cheered one of Bollywood's most loved designers and Ranbir from the front row.
The 32-year-old "Barfi!" star pulled off the "debonair man" look of Malhotra's collection, "The Gentleman's Club", with elan, and without a trace of nerves, Ranbir gallantly took centre stage during the show.

"Till now, I have only heard of girls wanting to wear a Manish Malhotra lehenga. I couldn't wear that garment but this is great," said the actor, who wore a maroon velvet pant suit with a statement broach.
"It was a great show. It was great to be walking the ramp for Manish. This is the third time we have collaborated and it feels nice."
Praising Ranbir's sense of style, the designer said, "He has a great style sense. Whenever I go and show him costumes, he always chooses the best one. I think he gets that sense from his parents."
The stage 3 area of Mehboob Studios is no stranger to Bollywood. But last night was special as Malhotra's B-town friends and colleagues gathered to commemorate his 25 years as a movie costume designer.
In a unique set-up, two drones hovered over the stage area throughout the show, to capture the various moods of the guests as well as the models on the ramp.
