New president of JD(U) Jharkhand unit Gopal Krishna Patar today said he would carry Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's 'development mantra' to the grassroots of Jharkhand to strengthen the party.
Patar, who shot to fame after defeating JMM chief Shibu Soren in the Tamar bypoll that had forced him to step down from the chief ministership in 2009, said he would travel across all the 24 districts of the state carrying the development mantra of Kumar.
"My topmost task is to help bringing together the leaders who have difference of opinions and views, because that is important to get back the party's recognition in Jharkhand," he said, hours after becoming the state party chief.
