Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda has strongly objected to being called as an actor only doing serious roles.

"You can't really categorise that way. I have done films like 'Rang Rasiya', 'Jism', 'Bombay Talkies', 'Murder 3', and yes an entertainer like 'Kick'. More than doing serious roles I want to do all my roles seriously," Randeep told PTI.

The actor is getting rave reviews for playing the notorious killer Charles Sobhraj in "Main Aur Charles".

"Even my character of Charles Sobhraj in Main Aur Charles happens to be larger than life. It's a cinematic movie. So, I object to being labeled," the actor said.

He said his character in the film had a hypnotic feel.

"And I say hypnotic because one hadn't seen such a character beforehand. A person who could hypnotise people in five minutes. A person who could walk out of the jail so nonchalantly. A person who had killed so many people and calmly walked over bodies.

"A conman and a murderer but an intriguing personality. If you look at the other way, the crime was indeed a big failure of our system," Randeep said.

The "Highway" star, who met the notorious personality in Nepal in October, said he liked the film's trailer.

"Charles was pleased with the trailer, the casting and said it's a quality product. He also said it reminded him of his youth.
