Rane Q2 net rises 28.2% to Rs 6.62 cr

Auto-component manufacturer Rane (Madras) Ltd, part of diversified Rane Group, has recorded 28.2 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 6.62 crore for the three month period ending September 30, 2016.

The Chennai-based firm had recorded a net profit of Rs 5.16 crore during corresponding quarter last year.

Total income from operations for the second quarter rose to Rs 257.51 crore from Rs 216.49 crore during the year-ago period.

"Rane (Madras) Ltd successfully ramped up production to capitalise on the strong order flow from select customers for steering and linkages division", Rane Group Chairman L Ganesh said.

"We continue to work on several initiatives to improve our operational performance and drive margin expansion" he said.
