Chief Minister and founder of ruling AINRC N Rangasamy today launched his campaign for the May 16 Assembly election by seeking a renewed mandate to continue the welfare measures implemented by his government for the people.

Starting the campaign after worshiping at a Lord Murugan temple in Kalapet constituency here, he recalled his party was founded in 2011 and received overwhelming support of the people in its maiden electoral battle in the same year.

"My government had been able to measure up to the expectations of the people although the opposition had misgivings," he said adding he had overcome all the hurdles with the support of the people.

He also assured that he would continue to provide 'a transparent, clean and corruption-free administration.'

AINRC is going solo in the upcoming elections.
