Ranu Langthasa first woman chairperson of NCHAC

Ranu Langthasa was unanimously appointed as the chairperson of the NC Hills Autonomous Council in Assam in a special session held in the NCHAC today.

She is the first woman chairperson to be appointed to the post since the formation of N C Hills Autonomous Council in 1951.

After assuming office, Langthasa said she is hopeful that new developments will take place in the district under the leadership of the newly elected CEM Debolal Gorlosa.
