A rape and murder accused today fled from police custody in West Midnapore district.
Krishna Bhakta of Jamsole village who was arrested by police in connection with the rape and murder of a minor girl was taken to Nayagram Block Health Centre for medical examination.
Bhakta fled from the Nayagram Block Health Centre, the police said adding a manhunt has been launched to nab him.
