Kerala High Court today directed the Manjeri Additional Sessions Court to complete within four months the trial relating rape and murder of a woman allegedly inside the Congress party office in Nilambur in Malappuram District in February this year.
The direction in this regard was issued by Justice K Abraham Mathew while hearing a bail application filed by Shamsuddin, one of the two prime accused in the case.
The court rejected the bail plea, but directed the Manjeri court to complete the trial within four months.
One of the accused, Biju Nair was the personal assistant of Senior Congress leader and Power Minister Aryadan Mohammed.
