Justice Ram Mohan Reddy gave the direction while disposing of a petition by the girl and her mother, seeking a direction to her school to allow the eighth standard student continue her studies after the education department and the head mistress stated before the court that she could do so.

The court had yesterday directed the school to permit her continue her education.

The mother alleged the school authorities, under pressure from the parents of other children, had refused to allow her daughter continue her studies.

She alleged the authorities had forced her to sign some documents, issued the transfer certificate of her daughter and advised her not to send the girl to any school.

The petitioners claimed a man working with the girl's father in a workshop had allegedly raped her in September 2011. The incident had gone unnoticed for a long time.
