As per Retrograde Angioplasty procedure, the block is approached and crossed from reverse direction against the direction of blood flow from another vessel supplying blood to heart through thread like tortuous connections between these two vessels.

The technique is used in Japan and Dr S S Bansal, who had got the training of the same, using it to perform the surgery.

The patient was discharged in a good condition after being observed for one day, said Dr Bansal.
