Three persons, all suspected to be minors, were injured after their car rammed into a divider and overturned near Indian Institute of Mass Communication in south Delhi's Vasant Kunj area today.

The incident took place around 1 PM and the occupants of the car fled the spot before police could arrive there.

Eyewitnesses told police that two of the occupants, including a girl, were wearing school uniforms and the car was heading towards Fortis Hospital at a speed above 100 km per hour, an official said.

A part of the divider was broken and the front portion of the car badly damaged in the crash, which left the three injured.

They also did not let the passers by help them after the incident and disappeared within minutes abandoning their Maruti Swift car there, police said.

A case of rash driving has been registered and the owner of the car has been identified with the help of the registration number.

Legal action shall be initiated accordingly, police added.
