Rasna to set up factory in Andhra Pradesh

: Fruit based concentrate manufacturing major Rasna today said it plans to set up a new production facility in Andhra Pradesh as part of its proposal to increase market share in the powder drink segment.

The new factory would be the company's 10th facility in the country that would help strengthen its market share in the powder drink segment, Rasna Pvt Ltd. Chairman and Managing Director, Piruz Khambatta told reporters here.

"This factory will be an integral part of Rasna to strengthen the market share in the powder drink segment", he said.

Khambatta also launched the new 'Rasa Insta' instant fruit based drink powder here, saying it has more glucose, vitamins and minerals than the earlier version 'Rasna Fruit Plus' and would help customers get instant energy
 

It is priced at Rs 115 for a 500 gram pack.

Khambatta also announced the company's foray into the sweet snack segment with launch of 'Rasna Vitos'.

The sweet snacks are not fried but 'baked' and made with Ragi and wheat along with 14 nutrients, he said.

"Rasna Vitos will drive the proposition of evening snacking the healthy and tasty way. The focus will now be on increasing the penetration of Vitos by leveraging our marketing and distribution network", he said.

Khambatta and senior company officials unveiled a new commercial following the launch.
