Rath yatra celebrated at ISKCON Mayapur

The rath yatra was celebrated with much fervour and gaiety at the ISKCON Mayapur here in Nadia district today.

A large number of people including 1000 foreign devotees participated in the rath yatra braving inclement weather.

The devotees pulled the chariots of Lord Jagannath, his elder brother Lord Balabhadra and their sister Devi Subhadra.

Nadia district administration officials, political leaders and noted personalties from various walks of life participated in the Mayapur ISKCON rath yatra festival.

West Bengal Correctional Services minister Ujjal Biswas participating in the event highlighted importance of unity and said rath yatra in Mayapur that brings all religion together.
