Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar today said the youth should be competent to face challenges in life.
"Youth are the backbone of our country and they determine thecountry's development. Hence, they have to be competent enough to face the challenges in life", he said addressing the young people gathered here for 'Vigyan Bhairav', Maha Dhyan Shibiram.
Young people have to tackle mental depression and despair and feel the essence of happiness and joy in life, he said.

As a part of spreading happiness message, he distributed awards to Happiness Campuses in Kerala at the IPOD (Inner Peace Outer Dynamism) event.
The awards were givento the campuses that successfully completed the Art of Living course.
Out of 30 campuses that conducted the course, SNIT, Adoor, MAC FAST, Thiruvalla and Logic School of Management, Ernakulam received awards for completing the course, a release said.
It said around 5000 people including 200 from foreign nationals from 17 countries participated in the programme.
He also shared various meditation and yoga techniques to overcome mental depression.
