Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today visited Kedarnath temple and offered prayers.
Rawat, accompanied by his wife Renuka Rawat, Assembly Speaker Govind Singh Kunjwal, and Congress state chief Kishor Upadhyay, arrived at the Kedarnath Dham at around 11 a.M. In a helicopter, a government release said.
After offering his prayers, the Chief Minister also took stock of the amenities for the pilgrims and asked the Rudraprayag District Magistrate to make arrangements for staying additional 1,000 of them in Kedarpuri, it said.
The Chief Minister also met with the people there.
