Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today said the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) report which has put Punjab among three best investment destinations in India during 2012-13, should be an eye-opener for Congress.

"Congress should realise that Punjab has done it despite

deliberate, adverse and ruinous policies of the UPA government against the state, such as denial of concessions granted to our neighbouring states and refusal of providing freight equalisation," Badal said in a release.

Punjab finished ahead of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar and West Bengal, to be one of the three most attractive investment destinations in the country, an official release said quoting figures released by the RBI.

The Chief Minister said, perfect law and order situation,

an atmosphere of peace and communal harmony, ideal labour relations, infrastructure, improved power scenario and an investment-friendly industrial policy were some of the reasons resulting in pushing Punjab among top three investment destinations in the country.

"Congress leaders see nothing of this and are busy trying

to portray Punjab as the worst state in the country. They should now try and contradict the RBI report," Badal said.
