The Rajasthan Cricket Association was disappointed over the IPL Governing Council's decision to not hold matches in Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur, citing logistical issues.

Deputy President of RCA Mehmood Abdi said that the BCCI should have waited for the verdict of the PIL in Rajasthan High Court on May 3.

Ending days of speculation, the IPL Governing Council today announced that the Eliminator and second Qualifier of the 9th Indian Premier league will be held at the capital's Ferozshah Kotla stadium instead of Eden Gardens.

The IPL GC also decided to have Visakhapatnam as the common main venue for Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants, in the wake of the Supreme Court dismissing the plea of Maharashtra and Mumbai Cricket Associations against the Bombay High Court order directing shifting of IPL matches outside the drought-hit state.

Abdi called it unfortunate.

"Decision of BCCI to not hold matches of Mumbai Indians in Jaipur is immensely disappointing. The SMS Stadium had been kept completely ready for IPL matches at considerable expenses. It is unfortunate that IPL would not be played in Rajasthan," Abdi said in a statement.

Abdi felt the IPL GC has acted prematurely and they should have waited for decision of the Rajasthan High Court.
