Reliance Communications' subscribers in the flood-affected Kashmir region will get a 50 per cent waiver on voice packs and 100 per cent waiver on data packs for September, the company announced today.

"Since our services were not operational for some time in Kashmir due to floods, we will be providing a 15-day waiver of fees in respect of voice pack customers," an official of the Reliance Communications told PTI.

He said the data pack customers will get a full waiver of charges till the 3G services are restored in the valley.

Several customers had accused the telecom service provider of insensitive approach as they were asked to pay late fees for not being able to pay bills in time when the valley was flooded.

The official said the late payment charges were included in the bills as these were automatically generated by the computers. "The company has waived off the late payment charges as well," he added.
