The crash-down of a real plane was also shot for the movie for the first time, said director Riingo.

The huge building, which came up atop a warehouse of the Kolkata Port Trust in the congested Baranagar area of the city, was demolished with explosives to inject authenticity to the sequences.

"As the film's script demanded, the house appears to be full of people when the blast was triggered and as such the shooting involved a huge risk," Riingo said.

Every arrangement was made to ensure safety of the huge number of people that gathered on the December 31 night to see the shooting, the director said.

The other disaster shoot, a plane crash-down, took place at Nalban, a green expanse off EM Bypass, for which and the building demolition shooting 70 per cent of the film's budget was spent. MORE
