In view of its poor show in the Lok Sabha elections in Kerala and internal commotions, the state unit of Aam Admi Party is all set for a total revamp based on the "Mission Vistaar" announced by the party's national leadership.
A top AAP leader said the party is planning a thorough reconstitution of the leadership structure in the state and was likely to declare the new state convenor during a volunteers' meet at Thrissur on October 19.
"Over 500 volunteers are expected to participate in the meet as part of the "Mission Vistar" the leader told PTI on condition of anonymity.

"We are planning to set our targets for one year and organise the agenda and activities of the party in the state based on that. The state unit will also get an elected panel of leaders soon," the leader added.
Asked about reports that writer and activist Sara Joseph would be elected as state convenor of the party, the AAP leader said all these things would be decided at the Thrissur meet, but refuted reports that the founding leaders of the party in the state would be thrown out from the leadership as part of the reconstitution.
In an effort to mobilise support and appease dissenting voices, AAP had launched 'Mission Vistaar' in June this eyar with an aim to building party units from the district to national level.
