Acknowledging receipt of the letter, the Principal Secretary (Home) Amir Subhani said that the Home Department has received a letter from the DGP recommending suspension of the 2006 batch woman IPS officer Ansuia Ransingh Sahu on corruption charges.
Asked about the likely action against the 'tainted' police officer, he said that no action has been initiated yet as the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar was undertaking 'Adhikar Yatra' to the districts to mobilise public support for the state's special status demand.
The file pertaining to this will be put up for consideration of the Chief Minister soon, Subhani said.
The DGP, who has also been instrumental in initiating a drive against corruption in the police department, remained tightlipped over details of corruption charges against Sahu, the first-ever such instance against an IPS officer in Bihar.
