"The process of computerisation has been started to provide hassle free and transparent services to citizens," Punjab Local Bodies minister Chunni Lal Bhagat said.
The minister said it will help in curbing corruption and people would get friendly administration by saving time and money.
He added that all internal working of local bodies like bill payment, birth and death certificates, all kind of sanctions and other public dealing matters would be considered online after the computerisation of records.
