Red terror to be dealt 'effectively': Home Secretary

Singh was here to pay obeisance at Golden Temple with his wife today.

Referring to the latest incident of kidnapping of Sukma Collector Alex Paul Menon he said, "to kidnap someone was wrong and unlawful and shortly such things would be stopped effectively."

He was talking to media after paying obeisance.

Talking about his proposed meet with Pakistani Interior Secretary Chaudhry Qamar Zaman, Singh said that during the meeting cross border smuggling and border related issues will be raised.

Home secretary-level talks between the two countries is scheduled in Islamabad on May 24-25.

Singh was here to inspect the newly built ICP at Attari/Wagah border where he visited all the sections of the newly built building of ICP besides interactions with the staff of BSF, customs and immigration.
