Linseed oil also declined on lower demand from paint and allied industries.
Meanwhile, Groundnut oil, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial held stable on lack of any worthwhile buying activity.
In futures, castorseeds December contract fell further on speculative selling on the back of lower export inquiries.
In the edible segment, Refined palmolein edged down by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 588 from Monday's closing level of Rs 600. Groundnut oil held unchanged at Rs 1,200 per 10kg.
Turning to non-edible segment, Linseedoil slipped by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 825 as against Rs 830 previously. Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial both held steady at Rs 3,650 and Rs 760, respectively.
Moving to futures, castorseed December contract resumed lower at Rs 3,935 and drifted further to Rs 3,890 before settling at Rs 3,895 as against Rs 4,000 previously, showing a fall of Rs 105 per tonne.
