Refined palmolein eases on subdued demand

Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also declined on reduced offtake from shippers and soap industries.

Meanwhile, groundnut oil and linseed oil maintained a steady trend in the absence of any worthwhile buying.

In the futures, castorseeds both December and march contract gained modestly on renewed export enquiries.

In the edible section, refined palmolein edged down by Rs 2 per 10kg to Rs 485 from Monday's closing level of Rs 487. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,260 per 10kg.

Turning to non-edible segment,Castorseeds bold slipped by Rs 15 per 100 kg to Rs 3,475 from Rs 3,490 and castor oil commercial went down by Rs 3 per 10kg to Rs 725 as against Rs 728 yesterday. Linseedoil closed unaltered at Rs 820 per 10kg.

 

Moving to futures,castorseed December contract resumed slightly lower at Rs 3,550, but later moved up close at Rs 3,570 as against Rs 3,551 yesterday, showing a gain of Rs 19 per tonne.

While, March contract opened higher at Rs 3,770 and gained to end at Rs 3,777 from Rs 3,767 previously, showing a modest rise of Rs 10 per tonne.
