Castorseeds bold and castoroil commercial also moved up fresh demand from shippers and soap industries.
Meanwhile, groundnut oil and linseeds oil held stable owing to lack of any worthwhile buying.
In futures, castorseeds advanced modestly on the back of rising export enquiries.
In the edible section, refined palmolein added by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 518 from Friday's close of Rs 516. Groundnut oil closed unchanged at Rs 1,175 per 10 kg.
Turning to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold gained by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,500 from Rs 3,475 and castoroil commercial went up by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 730 from Rs 725 previously. Linseedoil ended steady at Rs 810 per 10 kg.
Moving to futures, castorseed December resumed higher at Rs 3,730 and advanced to Rs 3,740 before closing at Rs 3,724 as against Rs 3,711 yesterday, showing a modest gain of Rs 13 per tonne.
