Refined palmolein firm up on consistent demand

While, groundnutoil declined owing to reduced stockists demand on the back of good arrivals from producing belts.

In non-edible oils, castorseeds bold and castorseeds commercial fell following subdued demand from shippers and soap manufacturers, while linseedoil continued a stable trend on lack of worthwhile buying.

In futures, castorseeds March contract dropped on heavy speculative unwinding following weak export enquiries.

In the edible section, refined palmolein moved up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 485 from last Saturday's close Rs 483, however, groundnut oil eased by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 1,275 from Rs 1,280 yesterday.

Turning to non-edible section, castorseeds bold slid by Rs 50 per 100 kg to Rs 3,700 from previous close of Rs 3,750 and castoroil commercial went down by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 770 from Rs 780. Linseedoil were unaltered at Rs 815 per 10 kg.

 

Turning to futures, castorseed March contract resumed lower at Rs 4,060 and fell further to finish at Rs 4,000 from Rs 4,101 previously, showing a loss of Rs 101 per tonne.
